One of the best, if not the best Chicken Parmesan and Meat Lasagna in the entire city. Such a huge portion that we still had a meal the next day.I'd highly recommend a reservation as it was packed on a Saturday night and the dining room was very lively. Their espresso martini was great to start with.For Apps the crab cake and stuffed mushrooms were perfect and great to share.For Entrees the chicken parm and meat lasagna were one of the best we've ever had. I can't wait to come back for them both.The round cheesecake was a perfect end to the meal and we ended up taking a ton of leftovers home and it was still good the following day.

Chris, Lily & Ryan provide exceptional service at the bar and the manager marco was so inviting!! Definitely will be back! LOVE THE NEW CARMINES!!

Warning you about large portions... The Chicken parmesan was huuuge. But food is great! I also really liked the stuffed mushrooms and the stacked eggplant. The staff were very attentive and friendly! Definitely recommend and can't wait to come back to try more food and the outdoor area during the summer!

We’ve been to Carmine’s on Rush 3 times since they have opened. We dream about the Italian Ice, lasagna and chicken parmesan. 2 times we sat at the bar upstairs. Fun vibe and music. The portions are huge and the ambiance is gorgeous. Can’t wait for the outside patio to open! So wonderful to have a classic Italian restaurant in the neighborhood!

Great atmosphere and Superior service! The best meatballs in the city just like grandma used to make. Food is well seasoned and portions are large. Everything was delicious and cooked to the perfection 🤌🏽 we ordered a bit of everything appetizers, steak, salad, pasta, cold and hot seafood, dessert oh and did I mention the meatballs 😋♥️😘

Finally stopped in after the reopening and was thoroughly impressed. The service was exceptional from start to finish. We were warmly greeted by a smiling and attentive host, Sarah, and both the bar and dining service exceeded expectations. The staff was professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

I'm writing my review again because it isn't showing up which is pretty suspicious. I'm rating it 5 stars but I would give it 0 if I could. Short version, SAVE YOUR MONEY. The only good thing about this place is the atmosphere even though the playlist does not make sense. The host with long blonde hair doesn't know anything, the host with short brown hair and hispanic profiled us and refused to seat us. The service is INSANELY slow but the food comes out fast. Old Carmine's was way better, unfortunately another miss in the viagra triangle. Sigh.

Can't go wrong at this newly remodeled Rosebud restaurant on Rush Street.

Ate at Carmine’s & it absolutely hit. Our server Jennifer (Jenn?) was the bees knees. Super warm, sharp, knew the menu, kept everything moving without rushing us. While we were waiting to get seated, Chad behind the bar took care of us & shot the breeze, which made time fly. Food was exactly what you want. Big portions, you leave fat & happy not questioning your life choices. If you like legit Italian food (for the midwest) & service that feels human, this place is it.

I'm really looking forward to the reopening. So far, things are looking good.

The re-opening was everything to be expected. So great this is back. The food was delicious and our server Yuly was so wonderful and attentive.

I’ve never been happier to see a restaurant reopen! It’s been too long. I love Carmines. I crave the eggplant stack (get it chopped) and go out of my way to come and eat that at Carmines. I recently dined in Yuly’s section and she was fantastic. She was attentive and friendly. I’ll be back many, many, times.

Listen… everybody cannot get me outside in negative 35-degree Chicago weather at night 😩❄️ But for my goddaughter’s 18th birthday, I did it and let me tell you, it was WORTH IT. Every negative degree. Every layer of clothing. Every step outside 😂 Italian food is my absolute favorite, so I was excited to see that Carmine’s Italian Restaurant is back open and just in time for Chicago Restaurant Week! 🙌🏽 The $60 Restaurant Week menu did not disappoint. For appetizers, you can choose between stuffed mushrooms or calamari. For salads, there’s the caprese or Caesar salad. Quick note: the Caesar dressing does include anchovies, which gives it a strong, authentic Italian flavor so if you’re sensitive to that or have allergies, just keep that in mind. For your main course, you can choose from a variety of pastas like cheese ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, and more or go for an entrée. I had the chicken parmesan, and baby… it was EVERYTHING 😌🍝 And for dessert, you get to choose between tiramisu or cheesecake. The portion sizes? Let’s just say they understood the assignment 👏🏽 I was so hungry that I started eating before taking pictures, so I only snapped my entrée 😏 The staff was friendly, the vibe was intimate yet spacious, and the aesthetics were beautiful. Carmine’s used to be one level, but now it’s two levels, and the space feels warm, elevated, and welcoming. I’m honestly just happy that Carmine’s is back open. And yes I’ll definitely be going back. If you’re looking for a cozy Italian spot with great food and atmosphere, do yourself a favor and check out Carmine’s. 🇮🇹✨

Yule got us the best seafood tower in all chicago !!! Definitely ask for her next time you come to dinner. Stella & sara at the front are ultra professional. Congrats Carmines team !! Excellent upgrade.

I had a dinner with my husbands and since the moment that we arrived we felt that we made a very good choice. The valet parking people was very nice. The host Jasmin received us with a beautiful smile and walked us to our table. David took care of us, checking on us constantly. He did an amazing job. In general the staff, food, drinks and environment deserves 5 stars!!

Carmine's is a fabulous Italian restaurant! The restaurant has a really cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the food is absolutely delicious. Stopped in for Chicago Restaurant Week and everything we tried was incredible! Not to mention, the staff is incredibly attentive and friendly—truly the icing on the cake! Carmine's is definitely a must-visit spot next time you're in Chicago.

We had the sausage & peppers, calamari and veggies platter and all were amazing. Chicken parm was HUGE. Spaghetti & meatballs were also big and the rib eye steak was great. I can see why this needs a renovation but the food is great. The staff is attentive & friendly and the valet is quick. Can't wait for next year!

I’ll always recommend a rosebuds affiliated restaurant. Their choices of food is spectacular. We went on Valentine’s Day and the waiters and greeters are so respectful. I love the positive work vibe they have. Super classy place. Best part is we didn’t wait too long for our food considering it was valentines

Fresh and Delicious Delicious food! I had the chicken parm it's huge and enough for 2 adults to share. The peppers and sausage appetizer was everything! Waiter and bus boys are very attentive. We ate upstairs it was nice, romantic, and also candle lit!

Really enjoyed this place. Went for restaurant week so the menu was slightly different, but everything we had was delicious. The best was the entree, the New York strip steak, which was perfectly cooked. Was a really solid steak considering the price. The vodka rigatoni was really good but i don’t think I could eat a whole dish of it. The tiramisu as a dessert was delicious but would try the chocolate cake next time, saw it come out and had like 7 layers. Would absolutely come back.

My favorite local bar/restaurant

Carmine’s is my absolute favorite in Chicago. I am not from Chicago and I will forever travel to Chicago just to eat here. The chicken parmesan is huge and could easily feed 3 people. It is SO good I recommend anyone going to Chicago to eat here. I find this location to be the best. The Cesar salad is shareable and also amazing. They have a wonderful wine selection as well.

Went here last minute for dinner with a group of 6 friends and had a fantastic time. Carmines strikes a great balance between casual and upscale dining. We ordered family style and all the food was great along with the wine. Will definitely be back.

We just visited again and Scott was our server. He was engaged, funny, and offered up great recommendations! We'll be back. Our sever Jay was great. The food was incredible. Large portions and tons of leftovers. The quality of the food, preparation and presentation were all on point. I will return again soon.

The portions here are giant! Chicken parm was delicious and was the size of a platter. The piece of cake was at least 10 inches tall. I left with 3 meals of food worth of leftovers after eating my fill, granted I ordered a lot.

Had Brick Chicken There was enough for 4 people. Absolutely delicious and outstanding service.

The pork chop lollipops are fantastic. Be sure to keep the sauce to dip your bread in. Square noodles with meatballs were also very good. Didn't love the tiramisu, it was a little bit dry but a great place regardless. I would definitely go back.

My first time visiting this restaurant ,I had a great experience. The waitress Cesar he is excellent, such great vibe, he made our group feel special.

So much better than the Carmines in NY and Bahamas. Staff was great and got me seated very quickly with no reservation, so I sat outside. Prices were very reasonable since it was lunch menu. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for quality Italian food. Like that it is local owned as well!

Amazing experience, very friendly and helpful waitress, big portions so be careful.. Can't wait to go back.
